Justin Gaethje reaffirms that he will make Charles from the Bronx give up and promises: 'I'm going to blow a hole in his face'

With less than a week left for the long-awaited duel between Charles of the Bronx e Justin gaethje, worth the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg), the provocations between the fighters are increasingly closer to being resolved in the Octagon. Until the date arrives, however, they continue to reverberate in interviews and social networks.

Even before being confirmed as a challenger for the belt, Justin gaethje made several criticisms of Charles of the Bronx, calling the champion a “quitter” on multiple occasions. During the week of the fight, the North American continues to strike the same chord.

Justin Gaethje warns that Charles do Bronx 'will need to go through hell' to beat him at UFC 274

“I wasn't exaggerating in my criticism, I wasn't saying he was a bad champion, I was just saying that on some occasions when he lost, he wasn't even knocked out and gave up. The choice to give up is something that once you make, you can do again because you know it's there. I believe I never made that choice. He already did. I believe, deep down, that he knows the way out and that way is to give up whenever he is hit too many times too hard”, said Gaethje in an interview with the North American “ESPN”.

Justin gaethje, however, stated that criticism about the supposed “withdrawals” of Charles of the Bronx they referred to another phase in the champion's career, who today, according to him, is a more dangerous and confident man. Despite this, the challenger promised to “blow a hole in the face” of the champion.

“All I talked about was a younger guy. Now he is 32 years old, he is a man with confidence. A man with confidence is a dangerous man and he is certainly not the same as the one I was referring to. But then again, once he's given up, he can give up again and I'm the perfect guy to show him that. And I will show it on May 7th. I need to stay out of grappling positions, obviously, but I'm going to punch a hole in his face and it's going to be glorious”, guaranteed the challenger.

Charles of the Bronx e Justin gaethje face each other in the main fight of the UFC 274. The event also features a dispute over the strawweight belt (up to 52,1 kg) with a rematch between the champion Rose namajunas and the challenger Carla esparza.
