“It’s a multi-fight deal. I've always said I want to retire from the UFC, and of course, people would love to see me do that. I feel like if I retired from MMA, I would retire from the UFC, which is the best MMA league in the world,” said Joanna.

In her last appearance, Joanna fought one of the best fights in the history of mixed martial arts against Zhang at UFC 240. The Polish woman was defeated in a split decision by the judges, in addition to a large swelling on her head. Now, with her contract renewed, she has the chance to 'pay it forward' and get closer to a new chance at the strawweight belt (up to 52,1kg).

At 33 years old, Jedrzejczyk has a record of 16 triumphs and four setbacks as a mixed martial arts professional. She was strawweight champion (up to 52,2 kg) from March 2015 to November 2017. In total, there were five successful title defenses.
