Just a few days before the event, boxing match between 'Iranian Hulk' and bodybuilder is canceled

Sad news for those who were looking forward to the duel between the 'giants' Sajad Gharibi and Martyn Ford. After having the boxing fight scheduled twice, the confrontation between the 'Iranian Hulk' and the bodybuilder has been cancelled. The confrontation would take place on April 30, in London (ENG). Those responsible for promoting the event spoke about the matter in an official statement.

“Boxtar is postponing the event planned for April 30th. Losing such a big event (in every sense) is a blow for all fans. Instead of continuing with the schedule for April 30th, we made the difficult decision to postpone the event. Those who purchased tickets will be contacted for possible refunds,” they wrote on social media.

Upon learning of the cancellation, the 'Iranian Hulk' also spoke out. In an excerpt published by 'BJPenn.com', the 'giant' is exempt from blame for what happened.

“I heard Ford doesn’t want to fight. It's not my fault or any other fighter's fault. I never canceled our fight. He doesn't want to see me again. This is not in line with the contract and my legal team has already started analyzing what can be done. The 'handsome guy' can't even fight. He hides and runs away. You need to have a woman's permission first. It’s shameful,” he declared.

Sajad Gharibi's opponent, Martyn Ford also spoke about the situation. Despite the cancellation, the bodybuilder believes he will perform soon.

“This is a note that I didn't want to have to disclose, but my fight ended up being postponed. I don't want to talk about it. I wasted a lot of time and a lot of energy was wasted. Personally, I continue to train hard. There will be a debut, a fight. I don’t know against who, when or why, but it will happen,” he said.

There was expectation on the part of fans to follow the confrontation between 'Iranian Hulk' and Martyn. Athletes are known for their imposing physique. However, the confrontation was surrounded by questions about the athletes' ability to deliver a high-level clash.
