Veteran Paul Daley's farewell to professional MMA had its antagonist changed this Tuesday (26). After the former champion Andrei Koreshkov leaving the card for reasons still unknown, Brazilian Wendell Giacomo was chosen to replace him and face the Brit at Bellator 281, on May 13, in London (England). The information was initially released by the “Metro News” website and confirmed by Bellator.

The fight at Bellator 281 will be the last of Paul Daley's professional MMA career. Professional since 2003, the Brit has seen action 62 times in his career, with 42 wins (34 by knockout), 18 defeats and two draws.

At the same time as it marks Paul Daley's farewell, the duel at Bellator 281 also marks Wendell Giacomo's debut in the organization. A Pitbull Brothers athlete, the Pernambuco native arrives at the event with a record of nine victories, eight of which were by interruption and only two defeats.

Bellator 281's main fight is the dispute for the interim welterweight belt (up to 77 kg) between Michael Page e Logan storley. Linear champion of the division, Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov is involved in the war against Russia and, therefore, removed from competition.
