Victim of an unprecedented submission in Ultimate last Saturday (23), Amanda lemos showed maturity to deal with the defeat to Jessica Andrade, Bate-Estaca. Promising in the strawweight division (up to 52,1kg.), the woman from Pará used social media to speak out about her stumble in the UFC Las Vegas 52.

"No excuses. I trained a lot. I was feeling really good, but a fight is a fight. Tonight was Jéssica’s,” wrote Lemos.
Last weekend, Amanda stepped into the octagon for her biggest challenge with UFC gloves to date. Facing the former champion, who returned to the division after moving up to flyweight (up to 56,7kg), Lemos ended up not being able to repeat her good performances, which took her to 10th place in the group.
With the stumble, the Brazilian could lose her position, as Andrade, after the triumph, should return to the top 15. The setback also interrupted an undefeated series of five performances by the Pará native.
With an eye on a future title fight, Bate-Estaca wins the group again after almost two years. The last challenge for the Paraná native in the group came in the reverse to Rose namajunas, in July 2020.
