Ronaldo Jacare debuted in the UFC on the right foot. After submitting Chris Camozzi, in May, at UFC Combate 2, he faces Yushin Okami, next Wednesday (04), with an eye on climbing the organization's middleweight rankings.
During the open training session at UFC Fight Night 28, this Monday, Jacaré praised his opponent, but doesn't want to let the victory slip away to continue his climb for the belt. “Okami is a complete guy, an excellent opponent. But I hope he comes with his game, putting him in the clinch, against the cage because I'm going to use my jiu-jitsu to win”, said the black belt.
Jacaré also revealed that he is in no rush to fight for the belt, but promises that he will be seen differently after the fight against Okami. “After this fight I have a few more to do (before fighting for the belt) and I hope the UFC gives me a difficult commitment that can make me move up in the rankings. But after this fight people will look at me with different eyes”, he added.
