Hired through the twenty-first season of The Ultimate Fighter, Vincent Luque has been with the UFC since 2015. Over the last six years, the Brazilian has established himself as one of the organization's most exciting fighters. In 17 appearances in the octagon, Luque has 14 victories, eight by knockout and five by submission, and only three defeats.

Currently, Vincent Luque occupies fifth place in the welterweight rankings, riding on four consecutive victories and ten in his last 11 fights. Seeking to qualify once and for all for the division title, the Brazilian faces the sixth place in the ranking, Belal Muhammad |, undefeated in seven fights and seeking revenge for the knockout suffered against the Brazilian in 2016.
