Henderson and Pettis had no problem making weight in the lightweight division
UFC 164 will be held this Saturday, but the fighters have already had their first battle. The official weigh-in for the event was held this Friday, in Milwaukee, in the United States.
Much applauded in his hometown, the lightweight challenger Anthony Pettis showed good form, while Ben henderson, also in weight, appeared with his traditional toothpick in his mouth. During the confrontation, the fighters got very close to each other, but no words were exchanged.
“I've been fighting here since I was a kid, I have a great chance to be champion,” said Pettis in the interview after the weigh-in. "I'm ready. Everyone has been talking a lot, but I will let my actions speak for me”, commented champion Henderson.
All the other fighters also reached their marks without any problems. None of them needed the second weigh-in, nor did they need the presence of the towel that covers an athlete who needs to take off their clothes completely. The stares were also friendly – just Dustin poirier and Erik Koch tried to heat up the moment.
