Five reasons to watch the popular UFC 273, this Saturday

The big moment has arrived. This Saturday (9), Ultimate arrives in Jacksonville (USA) to promote one of the main shows of the 2022 season. With 12 fights scheduled, the UFC 273 will bring the long-awaited confrontation between Gilbert Durinho e Khamzat Shimaev. The 'icing on the cake' will be represented by two title fights, in the featherweight (up to 65,7kg) and bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) divisions.

Considered by Durinho himself as 'the people's main fight', the Brazilian accepted the challenge of facing 'Dana White's pupil', Chimaev. The Niteroi native faces the welterweight 'monster' (up to 77kg) in a clash that could put the winner in a position to challenge the champion for the group's belt.

Inserted as a highlight on the main card, the fight between Gilbert Durinho e Khamzat Shimaev It could very well be a more relevant showdown. The confrontation, however, anticipates the two title fights at the event.

The combat, then, has a lot to offer, not only due to the curiosity and technique of the stars, but also because of what could happen to the protagonists, in case of victory.

Used to beating his rivals in Ultimate practically without being touched, Khamzat will face the biggest challenge of his career, and he has exuded confidence. During the week promoting the event, the athlete said that he would overcome the Brazilian with a knockout in the first minute.

In addition to the opportunity to get closer to the brand of José Aldo, who, at featherweight, has seven title defenses with Ultimate gloves, Volkanovski will expand a personal record. If he wins on Saturday, the champion will reach the impressive mark of 21 consecutive victories as a professional in MMA.

4) Sterling x Yan: reckoning

Besides Gilbert Durinho, Brazil will have two more representatives. On the main card, Mackenzie dern will have a tough commitment ahead. Legend of jiu-jitsu, the Tupiniquim defends fifth position in strawweight (up to 52,1kg.) against Tecia torres. The athlete is also trying to recover from the stumble suffered against Marina Rodriguez, in October 2021.

Bantamweight fighter (up to 61,2kg.), Daniel Willycat will experience the most important moment of his professional career this weekend. A Chute Boxe athlete, the Minas Gerais native will be in the UFC against Julio Maple. The clash will open Saturday's show.
