Ultimate agreed to hire another Brazilian to make up the card for the event in Barueri (SP), on October 9th. This is lightweight Alan “Nuguette” Patrick, who trains at the X-Gym gym. The man from Manaus will face the North American Garett Whiteley on fight night.
Alan was scheduled to face Tiago Trator in the 10th anniversary event of Jungle Fight in September, but withdrew from the fight to make his debut in the main MMA organization on the planet at UFC Fight Night 29. Nuguette is undefeated in his career, with a record of ten wins. In his last fight, on May 11, he beat Claudiere Freitas via split decision to win the Bitetti Combat belt.
UFC Fight Nigh 29 takes place on October 9th, in Barueri, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. The main fight of the night marks the meeting of two former UFC title challengers: Demian Maia, who competed for the middleweight title against Anderson Silva in 2010, and Jake Shields, who faced the welterweight champion Georges St Pierre in 2011. The clash takes place in the under-77 kg division.
