Borrachinha admits surveys outside the UFC and does not rule out 'giving time' to new challenges in company

Brazilian standout in the UFC middleweight (up to 83,9kg), Paulo borrachinha shows respect for the company, but admits that there are chances of testing himself in another organization in the future. In the search for opponents for his debut in the 2022 season, the Minas Gerais native admitted to having been approached by other organizations and speaks of a 'real chance' of analyzing the proposals. In an exclusive interview with SUPER FIGHTS, the athlete spoke about the subject.

“There are inquiries to fight in other events, boxing, abroad, here in Brazil. There's a lot of things. There is no shortage of options. Everything is real”, assured the former challenger for the under-83,9kg division belt.

Current number four in the middleweight rankings, Borrachinha makes a point of showing respect for the greatness of the UFC as an MMA organization. The fighter then states that a possible exit may not be permanent, but rather temporary.

“The UFC is the biggest event in the world. It doesn't mean I'm going to retire. You can, for example, 'take a break' and make another type of presentation. Today, we see big events paying a lot of money, for boxing, for example”, he concluded.

Featured in the division currently led by Israel adesanya, Borrachinha is looking for an opponent to make his debut in the 2022 season. In the same interview, the Brazilian harshly criticized names in the division such as Sean Strickland e Derek Brunson, who refused commitments against the miner.
