First UFC athlete to sign a global contract with a global sporting goods giant, the light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is one of the stars of the multinational's new campaign Nike. In the first promotional video released, Jones appears alongside basketball star LeBron James, WTA (women's tennis association) ranking leader Serena Williams and Barcelona and Spanish national team defender Gerard Piqué.
The video, narrated by actor Bradley Cooper (from the series “The Hangover”), presents ordinary people proposing to accept and seek greater challenges, including opposing the main names in some sports. Following Jon Jones, a young man fights with a child in a school hallway. The narrator then suggests that he “get someone his own size” or “someone twice his size.” After going through an Olympic fight and acting as a quarterback in an American football game, the young man then finds himself facing the UFC light heavyweight champion.
