With just over two weeks left until the duel against Gilbert Durinho, the rising star Khamzat Shimaev The victory over the Brazilian is already certain. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the Swede insinuated that the former challenger is already aware of his defeat and stated that, if he emerges victorious, the only possible future will be a fight for the welterweight (under 77,1kg) belt.

Asked about his future in case of victory, the Swedish prospect said he doesn't see any other possible duel other than fighting for the category's belt.
“I think I have to be the next one to fight for the belt. Who's next in line? I have ten fights with ten knockouts or submissions. After fighting Durinho, there will be 11 fights and 11 knockouts or submissions. And there? What will they say? He's number 2 in the rankings and they say I haven't faced anyone ranked. So when I beat number 2, what do I have left? I feel like I could kill anyone. I'm the greatest of all time. I’m the best”, concluded the Swedish prospect.

In the main fights we will have a fight for the featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg) between Alexander Volkanovsky e Korean zombie and the long-awaited rematch for the bantamweight title (up to 61,2kg) between aljamain sterling e Petr yan.
