On the next 24th of August, the Jungle Fight holds its 56th edition, in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná. In the main fight of the night, Reginaldo Viera faces Mário Israel for the bantamweight belt. And even though he was called at the last minute to replace the injured Jonas Bilharinho, Reginaldo wants to take advantage of the chance.
“I had already been preparing to fight at 57kg, but last week my master informed me that he had a chance to fight for the bantamweight belt at Jungle. I received the news with great joy, I will fight hard to achieve this victory and repay the tournament's trust in me. Mário is very technical both on the air and on the ground, it will be a tough fight in all areas. We are quite versatile, so spectators can expect a very busy fight,” he said.
On the other side, Mário Israel, who had already been preparing to face another opponent, highlighted the qualities in the São Paulo native's game, but made it clear that he is prepared to take the belt despite the recent change in the card.
“Nothing changes for me, I continue training hard and preparing to get this belt. I'm very focused on this fight, I know that Reginaldo is a tough opponent, I've even had the opportunity to study him before. I believe it is even more complete than Billiards, whose main feature is the standing part. I trust in a clear fight, which will make the audience vibrate with a lot of action and good technique”, said the fighter who is undefeated in his career with eight victories.
