Coach says Irishman Conor McGregor wants to face Diego Brandão

After achieving his third consecutive victory in the UFC, the Brazilian Diego Brandao caught the attention and became a target for other fighters in the featherweight division. According to his coach, the Irish Conor McGregor, one of the main names in the category and a European sensation in Ultimate, is interested in fighting Diego at the end of this year.

This Tuesday (20), on “UFC Tonight”, the organization's official newspaper on North American cable TV, John Kavanagh, McGregor's coach, cited Diego Brandao as a name when talking about the options the Irish have for their future. According to Kavanagh, the intention is for the duel to take place at UFC 168, in December.

Last Saturday (17), both athletes participated in UFC Fight Night 26, in Boston (USA). At the event, both McGregor and Brandão won by unanimous decision from the judges. The Irish won Max Holloway and the Brazilian hit Daniel Pineda.
