UFC welterweight champion (up to 77kg.), Kamaru Usman shows his evolution in striking in each presentation and, therefore, dreams of competing in boxing in a super fight against the multi-champion Canelo Alvarez placeholder image. However, for Daniel Cormier, the Nigerian would take serious risks if he chose to test himself against the Mexican.

During the program'DC & RC', Cormier stated that the change to the 'noble art' is a bad idea for Usman, even though he is his personal friend. The commentator highlights that the boxer is not open to jokes and, in the event of a dispute, he would compete seriously, as in all his fights in the sport.

“Usman is a brother I have and I love him to death. But the reality is that he can't fight Canelo. The main reason for this is that Canelo is a very proud Mexican fighter. He won't do as many people believe Mayweather handled McGregor. He will try to hurt you”, analyzed Cormier.

Champion of the 77,1kg division since March 2019, Usman has already defended his title on five occasions and is taking great strides to establish his name among the best in the history of Ultimate. The Mexican, who collects titles in the sport, has never faced any athlete from another sport and has already admitted that he may change his mind in the future, if a 'million dollar deal' is made.
