“I could retire tomorrow, be financially free, and my children would be very close to being financially free too. I'm lucky enough, I've made a name for myself. I know how hard I worked at the UFC and I know how much dedication I had. I made all the appearances that no one else wanted to make. I traveled the world. Every weekend, I was in a different state doing attendance. I was lucky enough, I had this mentality of dedication to make a name for myself. I did social media, the 'Dance of the Celebrities', I did what I could to build myself as a business and a brand. Of course, I love the UFC. I loved the organization. There is a reason why they are so successful. There is a reason why they were able to reach this level. But I know in my heart that I will never fight for them again, just because they don't pay enough,” VanZant said.

Currently fighting for Bare Knuckle FC and for AEW, WWE's rival Pro-Wrestling organization, Paige revealed that she does not intend to return to Ultimate and thanked her team for the 'new path' achieved in her career.

“I don’t see any advantage in returning to the UFC. Right now I'm lucky enough, I built myself for a specific place and I can take that and use it wherever I go. I don't have to do MMA. At this point in my life, I don't really have to do anything else. I'm doing all this because I love it. I was fortunate to have one of the best management teams in the world. It took six months for them to make me a millionaire and since then it has only fueled my passion so that I can continue training, fighting and being able to do absolutely anything I want. I don't have to put up with the non-fun things along the journey. I don't have to say yes to everyone to survive. I want to fight for AEW, I want to fight for BKFC. The contract is open, so I could still do MMA at the same time. I love MMA and I know that my door is definitely not closed, but at the same time, my passion is professional wrestling and bare-knuckle boxing right now,” concluded the American.

Since leaving the UFC in 2020, Paige still doesn't know what victory means in combat sports.
