After a devastating victory at UFC London, Tom Aspinall gains five positions in the heavyweight rankings

Considered by many the best Ultimate event of the year so far, the UFC London, held last Saturday (19), generated important movements in the organization's official rankings. The most impactful of these concerns the protagonist and owner of one of the card's many impressive performances: Tom aspinall.

The young Brit, who submitted the veteran Alexander Volkov in the first round of the main fight, he rose five positions in the heavyweight rankings (up to 120,2 kg), moving to sixth place in the division and paving the way for his desire to face third place Tai tuivasa accomplished. Aspinall's meteoric rise to heavyweight came with five victories in less than two years, all of them by knockouts or submissions.

Another important movement took place in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg). Defeated by arnold allen in a duel valid for featherweights (up to 65,7 kg), Dan Hooker lost five positions in the top division ranking, falling to thirteenth position. Allen, in turn, gained a position in the featherweight division, surpassing Josh Emmett and taking sixth place.

The latest ranking update also promoted specific changes among athletes who did not take action over the weekend. In flies (up to 56,7 kg), Matheus Nicolau surpassed Rogerio Bontorin and took seventh place; in roosters (up to 61,2 kg), Ricky simon took twelfth place from Sean O'Malley; while in the female fly, Alexa grasso switched positions with Cynthia calvillo, taking ninth position.
