Renato Moicano reinforces challenge to Bobby Green and calls for 'five-round war'

The Brazilian fighter once again expressed his desire to face the North American veteran in a main fight for the UFC

After challenging Bobby Green, Renato Moicano emphasized that he was not bluffing when he asked to face the veteran fighter. In an interview with the website 'B.J. Penn', the lightweight (up to 70,3kg) highlighted his desire to star in an Ultimate event and cited the North American as his ideal opponent.

“It would be good to show other fighters that it’s good to do good things for the company. We accept short-notice fights against really tough guys to be rewarded with the main event. Bobby Green x Renato Moicano, main event, five rounds, who wouldn't want to see that? Let’s see if the UFC makes this dream come true, I want to fight five rounds, but in a full training camp,” said Moicano.

“Everything came out clean, they did an MRI on my eye and there was nothing wrong. I've been doing this for a long time and I've had sparring like that in the gym. All sparring partners were like that. I'm 32 years old, I'll soon be 33, I'm in my prime and I'll be even better in my next fight. I'm ready, July you will see me again, hopefully in the main event against Bobby Green”, concluded the Brazilian.

Since March 2020 in the lightweight division, Moicano has already competed five fights in the new weight range. The Brasilia native won three duels and was defeated on three other occasions in the category led by his compatriot charles do brox.
