UFC strawweight champion (up to 52,1kg), Rose namajunas should put his title on the line for the second time in the rematch against Carla esparza and, beyond fans' expectations, Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be attentive to the duel. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the Polish recognized the evolution of the two athletes, but is betting that her former tormentor has the necessary tools to win.

“I believe Rose (Namajunas) will defend her belt. Carla (Esparza) won in 2014, but they are different athletes, with a different mentality. Rose is strong, fast and I think she will win the fight. Her game is perfect with footwork. Carla has a good winning streak, but Rose is on another level”, said Joanna.

In the past, Jedrzejczyk had the opportunity to face both athletes and beat Esparza to win the strawweight belt in 2015. She, however, did not have the same luck against Namajunas and lost on two occasions, in 2017 and 2018.

The Polish woman is working to return to MMA after a long period of hiatus. A former champion, she has not performed since March 2020, when she was defeated by Weili Zhang in a five-round 'war'. In his career, there are 16 positive results and three negative results.
