The most recent knockout suffered by Marlon moraes, against song yadong, UFC Las Vegas 50, put the future of the former challenger for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg) in Ultimate in question. For Marlon Vera, the division's prospect, the Brazilian should think carefully about the possibility of saying goodbye to MMA.

“I think he needs to retire, or at least he should. Four interruptions in a row? F***, we in MMA have families. People don't realize, but a guy like that has to go home to his wife and kids and that's not cool. It’s not cool to be in that position”, analyzed the Ecuadorian.

Eighth placed in the ranking of roosters, Marlon Vera worked at UFC Las Vegas 50 as a commentator on the Spanish-language broadcast of the event, so he saw up close the last defeat of Marlon moraes, who has suffered five knockouts in his last six appearances, four of which are consecutive. Despite old friction with the Brazilian on social media, the Ecuadorian revealed that he had a friendly conversation with his “namesake” after the event.

“I don’t celebrate anyone’s failure. From no one, ever. You will never see me mocking anyone. The thing with him, he came up to me and said 'hey man, forget about the s*** we talked about in the past', and I said, 'hey brother, you just lost, I'm not trying to pick on your foot, or anything like that'. I wonder how people can attack someone who is so low. So when he came to me and said, 'Hey, man, forget what we said in the past and keep it up, you're a good fighter,' I said, 'Hey, brother, you didn't even need to talk to me. Everything is fine'. We shook hands and I wished him the best. I told him to find something that makes him happy, because I'm sure he's not happy now”, concluded Vera.

Marlon Vera returns to the octagon on April 30th, when he faces Rob font in the main event of the Ultimate Fighting Championship in Las Vegas.
