Former NFL player Greg Hardy indicates his departure from the UFC after suffering three knockouts in a row

On his official 'Instagram', the North American thanked his fans for their support and assured that he is far from finishing his MMA career

It's time to say goodbye. After the third knockout in a series suffered, in a fight against Sergey Spivac in the UFC 272, Greg hardy he is not expected to renew his contract and has indicated that he is leaving the UFC. In publication in 'Instagram', the former NFL player tried to thank his team and highlighted that his career in MMA is far from over.

“What a trajectory. Hey boy, this is far from over. I just have some adjustments to make. Thank you to all my fans and haters. I thank you all. I would especially like to thank my coaches, family and the UFC for giving me the opportunity to shine,” said Hardy.

A former promise for the heavyweight category (up to 120,2kg) of the franchise, Hardy once again performed below expectations. In the confrontation that marked his last commitment under his UFC contract, the North American was knocked out in the first round.

A controversial figure, Greg was involved in major troubles outside the Octagon and was arrested on charges of domestic violence. The athlete signed a contract with the UFC after spending time on the 'Contender Series' and currently has a record of seven wins, five losses and one 'I didn't answer' – unsuccessful fight – in his career in mixed martial arts.
