Before his defeat – in just 14 seconds – to Anthony Perosh at UFC Rio 4, Vinny Magalhães had already declared that he deserved to be cut by the organization if he lost the fight. After the result, the Brazilian continues to believe that he could be fired and, in addition, revealed that he could end his career if that happens.

“People say that the UFC doesn't pay its fighters much, but if you look at other events it's even worse. So, if they cut me, I don't see why I should continue fighting in another event. I'd rather open my own gym than fight for little money. I stopped fighting jiu-jitsu because of the financial aspect, so it wouldn't make sense to go back now. If the UFC doesn't renew my contract, I'll stop (fighting)”, said the athlete, in an interview with “Ag. Fight.”
