The Nevada State Athletic Commission announced that 12 athletes who participated in The Ultimate Fighter 8 Final and were tested in the drug test obtained negative results for the use of steroids and drugs. The event took place on December 13th, in Las Vegas and was broadcast live on Spike TV.

The fighters tested were reality show finalists Efrain Escudero and Phillipe Nover in the lightweight division, as well as Ryan Bader and Vinny Magalhães in the light heavyweight division. Also included were winners of super fights: Anthony Johnson , Wilson Gouveia, Junie Browning, Krzysztof Soszynski, Eliot Marshall, Tom Lawlor, Shane Nelson, and Roli Delgado.
