Going through a difficult time in his career, Marlon moraes made some changes in his career with the aim of getting back on track to winning ways. In an interview with 'Combate', the bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) praised his training period in Thailand and spoke about his opponent in the UFC Las Vegas 50, the Chinese Yadong Song.

“We started training at American Top Team, then I went to Thailand and we finished the fight. I didn't go back because I didn't want to share (the training), it was very good, I liked the camp there. I had never been there and I saw that there was really good MMA training, a lot of Russians, the Petr yan He also trains there at the same gym. And I managed to do really good training there with strikers, with wrestling guys. I decided to stay there and meet the guys here in Las Vegas, and finish the last two weeks of training”, said Marlon.

“I believe it’s his toughest fight, mainly because we have similar styles. He's a striker similar to me, but he hasn't fought me yet, so we'll see how he reacts. All the other opponents he had were guys with good styles, good wrestlers. I believe he might try to take me down too, but it's not his house, it's not his area. I believe that if he tries to change his strategy to do this it could be a big mistake that he will make”, said the 'Magician'.
