Barão reveals conversation with Dominick Cruz: 'He said he'll be back in February'

"He (Dominick Cruz) said he is returning in February. I said: 'I hope you come back. I'm rooting for your recovery. I always have the goal of fighting the best, so the goal now is to fight you,'” said Barão.

The interim champion also said that, if he successfully defends the belt once again, he can ask Ultimate for the definitive title in the bantamweight category. “I think it's more than deserved, I've already competed the same number of times as the lineal champion, so I think I have the right to ask for the belt. And when Dominick recovers, he'll come and compete with me. No problem at all”, he concluded.
