The North American broadcaster'NBC' released previously unpublished images of an alleged car chase in which one of the drivers was the former UFC champion, Cain Velazquez. The video displays records that would have been providential for the veteran prison in Santa Clara (USA). According to initial information, he was trying to 'take justice into his own hands' by shooting Harry Goularte, suspected of molesting a minor, member of the athlete's family.

According to the news, it is possible to see bullet holes in the vehicle that was being pursued by Velasquez. According to information described in the report, there were three people in the truck. The fighter, however, would not have been able to hit the suspect, but rather the stepfather, who ended up shot in the arm, but is fine.

Moments after the chase, Cain was detained by local police and held without bail.

Speaking to the press, the case's prosecutor, Aaron French, regretted the athlete's attitude. According to the agent, Cain should have let the situation be resolved by the courts.

“It’s unfortunate that he tried to take matters into his own hands instead of leaving it to the courts,” French said.
