After victory in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas Saturday 49th (26), Islam makhachev highlighted that he needed to adapt the game to face Bobby Green, as it had outlined a strategy to Beneil Dariush. He highlights, however, that the North American was not ready to face him and, therefore, managed to stand out.

“Honestly, no. It was my most difficult training period, because I had to do a lot of work, you know? I was preparing to face Beneil (Dariush) – who is a good fighter – and I trained a lot for this fight. And when they changed opponents, I knew he wasn’t ready for that,” said Makhachev.
It does not stop there. According to Islam, he values Green for accepting the fight about ten days in advance, but devalues the North American's wordplay before the fight.
“I have to respect this guy, because he managed to defend my submission attempts. And it's ok. He said some things on the eve of the fight, but I didn't pay attention to it. I don't mind them talking before the fight happens, but I respect it. He’s a good guy and should be appreciated for accepting the fight with ten days left,” he concluded.
Near the belt, Islam makhachev scored the tenth consecutive victory in his career. Now, there are 22 triumphs and only one setback in the trajectory of the pupil of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
