Mousasi sees the fight as 'impossible to happen', but guarantees he could beat Adesanya in a confrontation

Great protagonist of Bellator 275, held this Friday (25), Gegard Mousasi He has more confidence than ever. After running over Austin vanderford in defense of the middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg.), the veteran guaranteed that he could pass Israel adesanya, UFC star, in a possible clash. In a conversation with the press after the show, the fighter spoke about the subject.

“I’ve trained with guys who have faced Israel adesanya. They did well, and I'm better than them at striking. So, of course I believe I have a great chance, and I can win,” said the 36-year-old veteran.

In his second Bellator welterweight reign, Gegard, however, was realistic about the possibility of the clash getting off the ground. Former Ultimate representative, Mousasi said there is no chance.

“It looks like I want to be Santa Claus. There’s no chance of the fight happening,” said the fighter.
