Mousasi sees the fight as 'impossible to happen', but guarantees he could beat Adesanya in a confrontation

“I’ve trained with guys who have faced Israel adesanya. They did well, and I'm better than them at striking. So, of course I believe I have a great chance, and I can win,” said the 36-year-old veteran.

In his second Bellator welterweight reign, Gegard, however, was realistic about the possibility of the clash getting off the ground. Former Ultimate representative, Mousasi said there is no chance.

“It looks like I want to be Santa Claus. There’s no chance of the fight happening,” said the fighter.

This Friday, Mousasi reached the mark of 49 victories as a professional in MMA. The fighter also reached his second title defense since regaining the throne.
