“Yes, when Ali (Abdelaziz) called me and said that Beneil had an injury, I said to him: 'Hey, we have RDA (Rafael dos Anjos). “All these guys in the top-10, they talk a lot and that's because outside of the rankings we have a lot of good fighters, and it's very difficult to jump into the top-15. We have to change all the old guys in the top-15 and, very soon, we will change the king. Very soon, we will change this division”, concluded the Russian.

Fourth place in the ranking led by charles do brox, Makhachev could earn a chance to fight for the belt if he wins over Green in the UFC Las Vegas 49, which takes place next Saturday (26). Riding on nine consecutive victories, the Russian has a record of 21 positive results and just one negative result in professional MMA.
