Coming off two consecutive losses since his UFC debut, Glorinha de Paula entered the Octagon UFC Las Vegas 48, an event held last Saturday (19), with the mission of winning for the first time in the organization. And, on the preliminary card, the Brazilian had a balanced fight and won Diana Belbita in the unanimous decision of the judges.

"What a day! I am very happy and grateful for this moment and all the affection I received. Thank you everyone for the messages and support! Thank you to my entire team for the incredible work. This is just the beginning”, wrote Glorinha on her official 'Instagram'.
Despite the fight being balanced and without much of a margin for either athlete, Glorinha breathed a sigh of relief in the organization. The São Paulo native, who came under pressure with two defeats in her performances, achieved her sixth career victory. She also has four other defeats on her record in mixed martial arts.
After standing out in national events, Glorinha received an opportunity in 'Contender Series', a reality show in which the president of Ultimate, Dana White, discovers new talents for his organization. At the time, in a fight that took place in November 2020, she beat Pauline Macias and signed with the UFC. The trajectory, however, started on the wrong foot due to defeats against Jinh Yu Frey and Cheyanne Vlismas, before recovering in front of Belbita.
