Walker's debut in Ultimate was overwhelming. At UFC Buenos Aires, which took place in November 2018, the Brazilian knocked out the North American in a stunning manner Khalil rountree in less than 2 minutes of combat. Just under three months later, Walker returned to the octagon, this time, to face Justin Ledet. One of the members of the UFC Fortaleza card, the athlete from Rio needed just 15 seconds to beat his second rival in the company. With just one blow thrown, Ledet went to the ground and the Brazilian needed a few blows before the judge interrupted.

With two quick knockouts in two fights, the Brazilian gained great prominence in the organization and was selected for the first numbered event of his career. However, at UFC 235, in front of Misha Cirkunov, the scenario was the same as their previous clashes. With just 36 seconds, the carioca landed a spectacular flying knee on his opponent and sent him to the knockout in an overwhelming way.

Faced with the sharp wrestling of the 'doorman' Corey anderson, the Brazilian was unable to develop his striking and suffered from his own poison when he was knocked out in the initial stage. About four months after the loss to Anderson, Johnny was nullified by Nikita Krylov and was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges.
