"José Aldo He was a guy, from what I saw in his film, a guy who suffered a lot in life and who had to give up a lot of things to pursue his dream, and ended up becoming a world champion. But his past was very difficult, he suffered, he went hungry, that sort of thing. I've been through this too. He lost his father close to one of his fights, I lost my brother when he had about four fights. I had it as a mirror. We've been through some good times, he's a guy who's suffered a lot. I didn't live at the gym, but since I started training, around 11 years old, I've always worked, I've always washed cars, I've been a lunch delivery boy, I've worked as a security guard, as a valet, I've been through a lot of trouble”, said Jaílton.

Even after challenging the former light heavyweight champion Mauritius Shogun, Malhadinho mentioned two other possible opponents that he would like to share the Octagon with.

“I saw Saturday the fight of a Russian in my category (Maxim grishin) which is very good. He's a guy who accepts striking, accepts grappling... I saw some flaws in him and I even mentioned to my manager, if I'm going to ask for a fight, I should ask him, or else ask for a top 15, but I don't even know if I have the morals for that. There is a Nigerian (Kennedy Nzechukwu) also who won the Danilo Marques and there’s no fight scheduled, or even a top 15, who knows, maybe they’ll find one for me, so I can get in and do a bit of work”, concluded Malhadinho.

In his debut in the most famous organization in the world, the fighter from Bahia knocked out his compatriot Danilo Marques still in the first round. Coming from the 'Contender Series', Malhadinho has a record of 15 triumphs and two setbacks in professional MMA.
