Despite having a fight scheduled, Blaydes says he is open to facing Jones or Miocic for the interim belt

The North American has a fight scheduled with Chris Daukaus for March 26, but he remains attentive to the possibilities in the heavyweight division

“You know if you win the interim title, yeah, it’s not the real belt. But you also know you're going to get a title shot. So I like that. I would love to have an interim title shot with Stipe (Miocic) or (Jon) Jones. I think everyone wants to have clarity about what the future of the division will be,” said Blaydes in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

With the uncertainty about the future of the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg.) after a knee injury that should rule out Francis Ngannou from the Octagon for nine months, Curtis blaydes is keeping an eye on its possibilities in the division and, previously, had already declared an interest in facing Cyryl Gane.

In professional MMA since May 2014, Blaydes has a record of 14 wins, three losses and one 'no contest' in his career in the sport. In his last appearance, the North American defeated Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the unanimous decision of the judges, in September 2021.
