Ultimate star candidate, Khamzat Shimaev will be keeping an eye on the main fight of the UFC 272. Willing to face the organization's top welterweights (up to 77kg), the Swede showed optimism regarding the clash between Colby covington e Jorge masvidal. Honestly, the athlete said he expected a good match and pointed out his favorite for victory.

“I think they will give us a great fight. Masvidal is a bit of a favorite for me. But Colby is a tough guy, he fights well. We will see. I think it's 50% each. I don't care who wins,” said the athlete, in a video released by 'RT Sports News'.

As usual, Chimaev made clear his desire to face the winner of the match. The athlete, however, is negotiating a confrontation against the Brazilian Gilbert Durinho, number two in the ranking.

“I'm going to face Burns (Durinho) now. After I win, I hope I face whoever wins between Masvidal and Covington,” he concluded.

UFC pupil, Chimaev has impressed with his career in the organization. To date, the athlete has held four matches, having easily completed all of his commitments. The Swede is also undefeated in his professional MMA record.
