Amateur MMA athlete Hunter Boone suffered an incredible accident in the confrontation against J. Brown that took place last Saturday (12) in Shawnee, Oklahoma (USA). In a fight valid for the Martial Combat League event, the North American collided with the cage support just 17 seconds into the fight, which resulted in a frightening cut on his head.

“A few seconds after the bell sounded, Hunter and his opponent spun toward the cage. His opponent had a grip on his neck, and as they hit the railing, Hunter's head collided with the portal, which resulted in Hunter suffering an eight-inch gash across the front of his hairline from left to right, falling through the right and towards the back of his neck, basically scalping him. He was knocked unconscious immediately, but regained consciousness before falling to the ground,” said Jason Greer, Hunter’s trainer.

Hunter Boone needed 17 stitches to make the cut. The fighter did not want to record an interview and says he still needs to 'process what happened' to be able to give his version of the events. However, in a post on his social networks, the American harshly criticized the ring set up for the event and classified it as 'defective' and claimed that the padding and inspection of the cage were 'improper'.
