“I’m going to give my mother a better life. She needs a new wheelchair. I want to get out of rent and buy my own house. I just had a baby and I'm here to give my parents and my son a better life. My mother is everything in my life. I can’t explain in words what she means to me,” Douglas said.

With two consecutive victories, D'Silva is in good shape in the bantamweight division. The Tupiniquim fighter's last defeat was in January 2021, to Lerone murphy, in the unanimous decision of the judges. Douglas has a record of 28 triumphs and four setbacks in professional MMA.
