Despite being surpassed for the second time by Israel adesanya, Robert whittaker believes that the story of the confrontation is not over yet. In a post-UFC 271, an event held last Saturday (12), the Australian praised his opponent and stated that a trilogy is 'inevitable' in the middleweight division (under 83,9kg) of Ultimate.

“Honestly, a third fight with Izzy (Adesanya) is inevitable because I will beat anyone in front of me and I think he will do that too. I don't see him losing the belt anytime soon. He's good and I think I'm the right person to beat him,” said Whittaker.
Whittaker lost the belt in October 2019, against Adesanya, after being knocked out in the second round. The fighter then went on a streak of three wins and had another chance. This time, however, the script was repeated and he ended up defeated with a unanimous decision from the judges.
Former division champion, Robert has a record of 24 triumphs and six setbacks in his career. In his career, the Australian has already beaten names like Ronaldo Jacare, Yoel romero (2x) Jared Cannonier e Kelvin Gastelum.
