On his official 'Twitter', the Brazilian responded to the Swede's date suggestion. Confident, he says he is prepared for the duel and promised to curb Chimaev's 'hype' in the welterweight division (under 77kg).

"I'm ready! Secure your visa now! The hype will end soon!”, wrote Durinho.

Active on social media, Khamzat was quick to respond to the provocations. After impressing in his last performance by not even being touched before finishing li jingliang in the first round, the promise promises to 'do the same' with Gilbert in the fight.

“I'll fix a visa with my fists in your face! (the fight) will end in the 1st round”, replied Chimaev.

Second place in the division led by Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Durinho wants a rematch against the Nigerian and has been offering big fights. In his last performance, the Brazilian comes from a triumph over Stephen Thompson in July 2022.

Khamzat Shimaev, in turn, is 11th in the category, but draws attention for its dominance over its opponents. He is undefeated in nine career fights.
