Borrachinha says he has no interest in any fight other than a rematch against Marvin Vettori

In a recent recording of his podcast, UFC commentator Joe Rogan opined that the defeat to Israel Adesanya in the fight for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9 kg) seems to have mentally shaken Paulo Borrachinha. However, the defeat that seems to have affected the Brazilian the most was another: against Marvin vettori.

In an interview with the “Ag Fight” website, Borrachinha was very uncomfortable with Vettori's stance after the fight and stated that, at the moment, a rematch with the Italian is the only fight that motivates him to return to the octagon.

“I just came here to talk to Dana White. I fight him now. It's the only fight that interests me. I don't care about anyone else. Unless it's the title. But I'm not stupid. I'm not stupid enough to consider this (title fight) now. I want to fight him. He's the only guy I'm interested in, viable. And if it's not with him, I'm not even interested in fighting. I already let Dana White know about it”, guaranteed Borrachinha.

According to Borrachinha, the desire to face Vettori is mainly due to the Italian's attitude after his victory in the UFC Las Vegas 41, in October 2021.

“I don’t respect him. I want to end his life. He's an asshole, he's an asshole, he's a fool. He had this victory over me and he thinks he's 'the guy', the most powerful. But he's an asshole, he's like a child. We see that he is a fool, he can't even put on his shorts properly. He has a photo with his shorts backwards. And he's thinking he's the man. But I will fight him again. Well, at least I intend to”, said the Brazilian.

Paulo borrachinha e Marvin vettori faced each other in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 41, in October, in a duel that was scheduled for middleweight, but took place at light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) because the Brazilian was unable to make weight. The victory left the Italian in second place in the ranking, while Borrachinha was in fifth place.
