Rory McDonald reinforces: 'I'm not going to fight Georges St. Pierre'

In an interview with the NY Post, the Canadian once again declared that he will not face his teammate and friend

On the eve of facing Jake ellenberger, and occupying third place in the welterweight rankings, Rory McDonald looks increasingly closer to a shot at the 77 kg division title. However, once again, the young Canadian stressed that he does not intend to fight against his friend and training partner Georges St Pierre, current belt holder.

“No, I will not fight Georges St Pierre. When we reach that point, Georges and I and our coaches will come to a solution. When you get to the road, let's cross it. We’re not going to fight,” McDonald told the New York Post.

This Saturday (27), Rory McDonald faces Jake ellenberger in the co-main fight of UFC on FOX 8, in Seattle (USA). The main fight of the night marks the second defense of the flyweight belt by the champion Demetrious Johnson. The “Mighty Mouse”, as he is known, faces challenger John Moraga.
