Heavyweight champion Ryan Bader says he has no interest in a rematch with Fedor Emelianenko

Heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) and on the eve of unifying his title against interim champion Valentin Moldavsky, Ryan bader said he has no interest in a rematch with the legend Fedor Emelianenko. At the 'media day' of Bellator 273, which takes place next Saturday (29), the North American made it clear that he is not thinking about a new duel with the 'Last Emperor' and showed that he is focused on the confrontation with the veteran's pupil.

“I ended up knocking him out in 35 seconds and I believe he wouldn't want a rematch. I'm open to it, but I don't think about it too much. I can't beat him any better than I did. It's a big fight. Any fight with Fedor is a great fight, especially if it's his retirement fight. But we’ll cross that bridge when it comes,” Bader said.

Even with speculation of a duel with the Russian legend, the heavyweight champion said he is focused on the fight with Valentin Moldavsky, who is from the same gym as Fedor.

“I want to focus on this fight (against Moldavsky). I'm going to go there, I'm going to win this fight and then I'll see what happens for me, because looking at it now is like a losing situation”, concluded the champion.
