With an eye on Glover Teixeira, Jiri Prochazka plans preparation at Henry Cejudo's academy

The Brazilian's challenger showed interest in doing his training in 'Fight Ready', a team that counts Jon Jones and Deiveson Figueiredo among its members

The next challenger in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg), the Czech Jiri Prochazka you already know where you want to prepare for the duel against Glover Teixeira. The European fighter revealed that he wants to hold his training camp at the 'Fight Ready' gym, which is led by Henry Cejudo. The statement was given in an interview with 'CBS Sports'.

“In February, I'm thinking about going to prepare in America. Especially with Henry Cejudo e Jon Jones there. I want to go out there and improve my game, especially wrestling, to the next level. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm also a big fan of (Deiveson) Figueiredo. His style is great. It’s an honor to go there and train with these guys,” Prochazka said.

Glover Teixeira e Jiri Prochazka will be the main fight of the UFC 2744, scheduled for May 7th. The show was scheduled for the Jeunesse Arena, in Rio de Janeiro. However, according to 'Combate', the organization transferred the card to the United States.

Number two in the rankings at 93kg, Jiri has a long run without defeat in his career. His last setback was in December 2015, still at the Japanese event Rizin. Hired by Ultimate in 2020, the Czech won his two fights in the organization, against Volkan oezdemir e Dominick reyes, both by knockout in the second round. The fighter has a record of 28 triumphs, three setbacks and just one draw.
