Champion, but without a contract with Ultimate, Francis Ngannou continues to show signs that a renewal could become something utopian for its fans. After months of public criticism of the organization, the executioner of Cyryl Gane No. UFC 270 has once again raised controversy, this time with a serious accusation. In an interview with 'The MMA Hour', the French-Cameroonian revealed that his team received a threatening email, directed by the company. The fighter explains.

“Going to the fight, heading to the arena, I got dressed, put on my suit and went to the room to wait for my manager and trainer. They were surprised and asked what was happening. They told me that they had just received an email from the UFC saying that they were going to sue him for talking to this guy, Nakisa (Bidarian). I asked: 'who is Nakisa?'.

Without understanding, Francis continued describing the situation that occurred moments before his confrontation against Gane, for the unification of the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg).

“They told me that I don’t know him (Bidarian), but that he is someone from the team at Jake Paul. I asked if it was a promoter. It seems like they don't want to talk to me anymore. Firstly, I don't know who this guy is, I wouldn't recognize him if I put him in front of me. Secondly, he's not a promoter and it's not like I can't talk to people about boxing. I talk about boxing all the time,” he said.

Last weekend, Ngannou had the last fight in his contract with the organization. The confrontation against Gane showed the evolution of the 'giant', who, after five rounds, beat his opponent on points and unified the group title under 120,2kg.

If a UFC fight is not made official by December 31st, Francis will automatically be free to sign a contract with any other promoter.

During the last few weeks, the champion has not hidden his desire to hold a boxing superfight against Tommy Fury, star of the 'noble art'. At the press conference after the UFC 270, the French-Cameroonian demanded respect and asked for 'more freedom' to deal with his challenges.
