Moreno says he feels 'pain from the defeat' to Deiveson, but sees a real chance of a fourth fight with the Brazilian

Dethroned at UFC 270, Mexican vents about setback against Brazilian; 'God of War' regained flyweight belt on points

Defeated in co-main event UFC 270, Brandon Moreno will need time to digest the stumble faced Deiveson Figueiredo in a trilogy valid for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg.). Beaten by the judges' unanimous decision and dethroned in the group, the Mexican vented about the feeling of the negative result. The fighter, however, sees a real chance of a fourth fight against the Brazilian.

“I lost, it hurts. At the same time, I like it when it hurts because I can feel the pain. It's important for me to be able to come back. It's crazy, because the door is open for a fourth fight against this guy. This is amazing. I see the possibility. I need to face him again,” she said, at a press conference after the event.

The rivalry between Deiveson and Moreno began in December 2020. At the time, the Brazilian, as champion, had a tough time in the clash against the Mexican. After five rounds, the duel ended in a draw and, according to the rule, the man from Pará maintained the throne.

In June 2021, in the immediate rematch, Brandon surprised. Sharp, the athlete didn't give Figueiredo a chance and took the Tupiniquim title with a submission in the third round.

In the confrontation that marked the trilogy between the combatants, in 2022, the script was close to the confrontation held just over a year ago. The protagonists excited the audience with an aggressive 25-minute confrontation, which ended with the consecration of the 'God of War' on points.
