Daniel Cormier praises and predicts Valentina Shevchenko as two-division UFC champion in 2022

Ultimate commentator believes that Kyrgyz will be the 'highlight of the year' in the organization

Flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg) and responsible for six UFC belt defenses, Valentina Shevchenko has the respect of a large part of the mixed martial arts community and has received important praise from other fighters, such as Daniel Cormier.

“I don’t believe that Amanda (Nunes) will win that belt back, I believe that Valentina will win that belt and become the two-time champion in 2022,” said Cormier.

Valentina already tried to win the bantamweight title (up to 61,2kg.) in 2017, in a rematch against Amanda nunes. In a balanced fight, however, the Kyrgyz woman ended up defeated in a split decision by the judges. She then decided to switch to flies (up to 56,7kg.) and, after passing through Priscila Pedrita, won the vacant belt.

To date, Shevchenko has six belt defenses in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg) and a record of 22 triumphs and three setbacks in his career in mixed martial arts.
