Last Wednesday, the businessman and technical Nick Diaz, Cesar Gracie, revealed that the UFC had made a proposal for the athlete to give up his retirement and return to fighting. This Thursday, Dana White denied the information.
“No one at the UFC has spoken to Gracie or anyone else who represents Nick,” White told MMA Fighting. The day before, the same outlet had already contacted Gracie asking who the proposed opponent would be. The Brazilian coach’s response: “I can’t tell you.”
Nick Diaz announced his retirement in March, after being defeated by Georges St Pierre in the main fight of UFC 158. The controversial fighter said at the time that he would only change his mind for a rematch against GSP or a confrontation against Anderson Silva.
