After controversy, Brandon Royval accuses Rogério Bontorin of having given up on a triangle fight

The North American highlighted that he applied his maximum strength to achieve the submission and believes that the Brazilian had 'touched' forfeit; he won the fight via split decision

Despite ending the uncomfortable series of two consecutive defeats, Brandon royval didn't have an 'easy life' against Rogerio Bontorin No. UFC Las Vegas 46 last Saturday (15). In a controversial result, the American managed to win a split decision from the judges, but he feels he could have won during the fight.

In a post-event press conference, Royval spared no criticism of the duel referee for not stopping after Bontorin allegedly gave up in the third round. He even stated that he applied all his strength in executing the coup so that he could win.

“I'm happy to be here after a victory, but he touched (withdrawal). Did you see that? I thought he hit. He was spinning with his arm in a feeling of, 'Get me out of here, I want to go home' and I threw everything into that triangle. I think he hit it”, criticized Brandon.

After being defeated by Brandon Moreno e Alexandre pantoja, Brandon royval recovers and returns to triumph in the organization. In his career, he has a record of 17 positive results, three negative results and one 'no result' fight.

Rogerio Bontorin, in turn, suffered his third defeat in a row, the fourth in his career. He has a record of 16 positive results, four negatives and one draw.
