Former executioner, Max Holloway surrenders to Calvin Kattar's performance of Giga Chikadze

Underdog in the main fight of UFC Vegas 46 last Saturday (15), Calvin kattar surprised to dominate Giga Chikadze and win by unanimous decision of the judges. Furthermore, the North American appears to have freed himself from the negative image left behind by the hard setback he suffered against Max Holloway, in January of 2021.

Chikadze guarantees that he will learn from his defeat against Kattar, but says: 'if we fight ten times, I will win nine'

The greatest proof of the feat, in fact, was Holloway's own praise for Kattar's performance in the fight. On his social networks, the Hawaiian tried to recognize and praise the fighter's performance against the Georgian.

"Congratulations, Calvin kattar, what a beautiful performance”, praised Holloway on his official Twitter profile.

Kattar recovers from 'massacre' suffered against Max Holloway in January 2021 and wins again in the organization. The North American is in fifth place in the featherweight rankings (up to 65,7kg) and can now gain some positions towards the top of the division. Professional since 2007, the North American updates his record to 23 triumphs and five setbacks in his career.

Chikadze, in turn, had his streak of nine wins broken and lost for the first time in Ultimate. In his career in mixed martial arts, there are 14 positive results and three negative results.
