The UFC Rio 4 card continues to suffer losses. After Anthony Pettis e Josh koscheck, it was the turn of North American Robert Drysdale to abandon the event after being diagnosed with a staphylococcal infection – caused by bacteria of the staphylococci genus. Drysdale would face Ednaldo Lula in the second fight of the night.

The Ultimate organization has not yet commented on Ednaldo's fate. With the event approaching, which takes place on August 3rd, Lula could also be cut. However, as there was already a suspended fight between Josh koscheck e Demian Maia, another opponent may be announced so as not to further reduce the night's card.
